Refugee Week 2024

Refugee Week 2024

How to get involved with Refugee Week – 17th – 21st June 2024

Taking part by completing a Simple Act on the left is a great way to show awareness and understanding of why it is important to celebrate Refugee Week.

Here are some other ways you can get involved at Bede:

Tuesday & Friday

D&D club and Chess club (Learn to play a traditional game called Carrom)

Wednesday

Japanese club (Learn phrases from other languages of our students and other craft activities)

Library (Come to the library to see brilliant book recommendations with the theme of Refugees).

Please speak to Mrs Mark if you have any questions!

The West End Refugee Service works to achieve positive change for refugees through their direct support services, by creating opportunities for people to engage and thrive in their local communities and through our work raising awareness, promoting good practice and challenging injustices in the system.

It light of Refugee Week on 17th– 21st June, we would like to set up a school donation for much needed toiletry items.

This includes items such as:

  • Soap
  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Shower gel
  • Female hygiene items
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Comb
  • Lotion

If you have any of these items spare, please bring them to Mrs Mark or reception over the next couple of weeks, deadline is            Friday 21st June.

Let’s aim for a table full of items in the reception! Any questions, please ask Mrs Mark or Ms Stonebanks.
