WRAPAROUND AND AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
Bede Academy offers a choice of morning, afternoon and evening clubs – all bookable online.
Sunrise and Sunset Clubs
Our Sunrise and Sunset Clubs provide a warm, engaging environment led by Mrs. Watson and a team of familiar Learning Support Assistants. Open to students of all ages, the clubs offer a safe and supportive space before and after school hours.
We combine academic support with creative and recreational activities to foster curiosity, collaboration, and personal growth. Students can complete homework on iPads, develop social skills, and build lasting friendships in a relaxed, supervised setting.
Sunrise (Breakfast)
7.45am-8.45am every school day
Open to students in Nursery through to Year Six
Includes a light breakfast of cereal and fruit
£4.15 per session
Sunset (Evening)
3.15pm-5.45pm every school day
Open to students in Nursery through to Year Six
Includes a substantial snack (e.g. wrap/sandwich with a mix of fruit/yogurt/crisps, and a choice of juice or water
£9.55 per session
After School Clubs
After School Clubs run from 3.15pm-4pm or 4.15pm. Open to students in Year One through to Year Six. A wide variety of clubs are available and aimed at specific age groups (confirmed in the description of each club). As a parent you will only be able to see the groups open for your child’s year group. Some clubs are free of charge and some payable.
Your Questions Answered
How do I book and pay? | All bookings (and, where relevant, payments) for clubs are now made via the Evolve online booking system. It is not possible to book by phone, by email or in person. All booking opportunities will be emailed out to you “per club”. Please look out for these emails coming through. Or download the “MYEvolve” app which is available for both iOS and Android phones. For “paid for” clubs, please pay when booking. Bookings are only fully confirmed once payment has been made. We will issue reminders for outstanding balances and reserve the right to add an admin fee for any balances not settled within 7 days of booking. |
How do I add sessions to existing bookings? | This can be done either via the link in the original email from us, or via the “MyEvolve” app. |
Will I be guaranteed a place? | We cannot guarantee places. All bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be booked online in advance. The only addition to this is that current Sunrise and Sunset club customers will be given first access to the booking system for these services each time a new window is opened. |
What is the latest I can book for Sunrise and Sunset clubs? | If spaces are available, you are able to book Sunrise Club up to 7pm on the night before, and Sunset Club up to 9am on the same day of the club. |
How will I know when a new booking window will open? | Sunrise/Sunset Club bookings are opened in batches of up to 4 weeks depending on the term length. A new booking window normally opens approximately two or three weeks before the next period commences. Dates will be confirmed in the Newsletter. After School Club bookings are opened for full terms and are also normally opened approximately two weeks prior to the next period commencing (again dates will be confirmed in the Newsletter). Some of these clubs will be restricted to existing participants only, and some will be open to new bookings. |
Refunds, Cancellations, and Reporting Club Non-Attendance | If you need to cancel for any reason, or need to make us aware that your child is unable to attend a planned club, this should be confirmed to us via email on newsletter@bedeacademy.org.uk. If you cancel a “paid-for” club more than 7 days’ in advance, we will issue a refund which will normally take 7-10 days for Evolve to process. Please do not book slots that you don’t need as you will need to pay and await refund. |
