On Friday, we welcomed Good News for Everyone, the Christian charity that visits each year to help us welcome our Year 7 students. Bede has a long-standing and much valued relationship with Mrs Maureen Findlay and the volunteers at the Northumbria branch of Good News for Everyone. At the beginning of their secondary years, our students are gifted a New Testament and Psalms Bible by the charity, and Mrs Findlay explains how this can be a source of guidance, comfort and encouragement both now and in the years to come. Our visitors were impressed by the attention and politeness our students showed and we hope that they have enjoyed showing those at home their Bibles and discussing the session.
Please may we also correct an error form the September PD Newsletter which referred to Good News for Everyone as a Church group whereas they are Christian charity. Please may we also thank them for their friendship and support since the very beginning of Bede.
