At Bede Academy primary site, we very much enjoyed our Number Day supporting and raising money for NSPCC. Led by Mr Campbell, our Maths Leader, we enjoyed an assembly that showcased all of the amazing ways maths is prevalent in our daily lives and across the curriculum. Students engaged in a range of interesting and creative tasks that involved painting, board game making, darts and outdoor maths activities.
It was wonderful to see so many extravagant outfits alongside simple clothes that showed how being a mathematician is such an important part of everyday lives and turns up everywhere.
A big thanks to all of our staff, parents and wider community for their support of the day, not to mention a big thank you to NSPCC for all that they do to keep our children safe.
