Over 230 staff and students gathered at Bede Academy to celebrate the sporting achievements of the past year. The event featured special guests Dan Burn from Newcastle United and JJ O’Donnell, formerly of Blyth Spartans.
The evening commenced with a special award presented to Cody Sullivan for her representation on the England Under 17 netball team this season. Following this, awards were distributed across a range of sports including football, rugby, basketball, athletics, cricket, netball, and hockey.
Dan Burn delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of determination and perseverance in achieving success in sports. The event concluded with the presentation of the Stannard Award to Freya Dyos for her outstanding contribution to academy sports over the past 12 months.
